Countries with a visa-free regime for citizens holding any type of valid passport: diplomatic, service (or official/special) or ordinary passport valid for at least 3 months after the end of the trip.

VISA-FREE REGIME FOR RELEVANT PERIOD

Countries with a visa-free regime for the ordinary passport holders (passport should be valid for at least 4 months after the end of the trip) within the relevant period:

– Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait – from February 15, 2026 to February 15, 2027, 3 times and up to 30 days per entry

– Citizens of China holding ordinary passports officially issued by the Government of the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions -from February 2, 2026 to February 2, 2027, 3 times and up to 30 days per entry.

VISA UPON ARRIVAL

Countries whose citizens are issued single-entry electronic visas at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan (passport should be valid for at least 4 months after the end of the trip):

Saudi Arabia	30 days
Oman	30 days
Bahrain	30 days
Kuwait	30 days

Note: for the 4^th entry during the period from February 15, 2026 to February 15, 2027

Japan	30 days
Indonesia	30 days
Republic of Korea	30 days

China	30 days / Note: if the number of allowed visa-free stays have been exceeded

Holders of a residence permit

with a validity period of more than 185 days in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait are entitled to get a visa upon arrival to the international airport of the Republic of Azerbaijan with period of up to 30 days Passport should be valid for at least 4 months after the end of the trip.

Citizens of other countries need to obtain electronic visa or apply to the nearest Azerbaijani diplomatic mission before traveling to Azerbaijan.

E-VISA

The standard e-visa is issued within 3 working days and the urgent e-visa is issued within 3 hours regardless of holidays and non-working days. An e-visa to the Republic of Azerbaijan is valid for the period of 90 days with 30 days permission to stay in the country. Please follow the link to apply.

ORDINARY VISA

Ordinary visa can be for single entry (validity period up to 90 days), multiple entry (validity period up to 2 years) and transit. These types of visas should be obtained in the nearest Azerbaijani diplomatic mission before traveling to Azerbaijan.

REGISTRATION UPON STAY

All foreigners planning to stay in Azerbaijan for more than 15 days should get registered upon place of stay. For this they should apply to the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan via one of the following resources:
